2010 National Tournament

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is the 2010 host of the National Science Olympiad Tournament.

Congratulations to the Division C Science Olympiad National Tournament Champion, Centerville High School and to the Division B Champion, Solon Middle School.  Both Ohio teams successfully defended their titles from the 2009 National Tournament!  Way to go!

The 2010 Spirit Award Winners, both taking home $2,000 from Lockheed Martin to further their Science Olympiad programs, were Windy Ridge MS from Florida in Division B and River Hills HS from Maryland in Division C.

We hope you enjoyed an amazing experience at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on May 20-22, 2010. One hundred and twenty of the nation's most outstanding Science Olympiad 15-member teams from 48 states competed in more than 50 events spanning the sciences, from chemistry, biology and physics to engineering, computers and astronomy.  Thanks to everyone on the U of I staff and all the National Tournament Committee members who made this event possible.

Our national sponsors and partners stepped up to reward you for your hard work and dedication to Science Olympiad!  Events with prizes are: Anatomy & Physiology, Bio-Process Lab, Chem Lab, Disease Detectives (C), Mission Possible, Forensics, It's About Time, Protein Modeling (Trial), Elevated Bridge, Technical Problem Solving, Wright Stuff and more! Lockheed Martin will again provide a cash prize for the Spirit Awards in both Division B and Division C, so show off your very best sportsmanship for a chance at $2,000 for your school.  Check the U of I Chancellor's site for incredible information about full tuition waivers for Division C winners and $2,000 waivers for Division B winners!  Wow!
