From September 2008 to August 2009, Science Olympiad will join more than 100 of Chicago's leading academic, scientific, corporate and non-profit institutions to host programs designed to awaken the inner scientist in everyone.  The centerpiece of Science Olympiad's involvement with Science Chicago will be the Urban Schools Initiative, a project in its second year that will provide 16 Chicago Public Schools with Science Olympiad team memberships, materials and specialized training for CPS coaches.  Science Olympiad will also participate in Science Chicago's neighborhood LabFests in the summer of 2009, where kids and families will be treated to a wide array of hands-on activities.
